Diocese of Shreveport Seminarians

Meet our Seminarians

Our seminarians are so grateful for your prayers, encouragement, and letters!
Let’s lift them up with prayer, love, and encouragement! Let them know we are thinking of them on their journey with a note, card, or small care package sent to the address below.

Take a moment to pray for each seminarian by name as they journey toward the priesthood. Your spiritual support means the world. A simple Our Father, Hail Mary, and Glory Be offered for their vocations can make a powerful difference.

Thank you to

The amazing staff at St. Frederick’s for your hospitality and support! We’re so grateful to you for hosting this event!

To the Knights of Columbus—thank you for your help behind the scenes and your impressive skills on the court! We truly couldn’t have done it without you.

To the Louisiana Catholic Federal Credit Union for your ongoing support of our seminarians and for helping sponsor this event. Your partnership means so much!

A very special thank you to the Multicultural Ministry of the Diocese and the Landeros family for providing the delicious tamales that helped fuel our day!

We’re also incredibly grateful to Father Peter Mangum and Father Kelby Tingle—our priestly MVPs who brought their passion, energy, and heart to the court as part of our seminarian & priest team!

And last but not least, THANK YOU to everyone who came out to cheer, pray, and support our seminarians. Your presence and encouragement made this more than just a game—it was a joyful celebration of faith and community!

🏀 THANK YOU! 🏀

We want to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who helped make our Seminarian Basketball Game such a success!

Our diocesan seminarians are beginning their summer assignments. Summer assignments are a vital part of their formation, helping them grow in ministry, experience parish life firsthand, and deepen their call to the priesthood. We’re blessed to have four of them serving in parishes this summer.

Brett Reggio - Cathedral of St. John Berchmans
Angel Gomez - St. Jude
Alan Landeros- St. Joseph, Shreveport

Tristan Frisk is in Little Rock completing his Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE), a key part of formation focused on pastoral care in hospital settings.

Nathan Lirette is spending time on a special retreat as part of his spiritual formation this summer.

Please keep all of these men in your prayers as they continue preparing for a life of service to the Church!
